Woods Garden; a glimpse of where we spend our day

Welcome to Woods Garden.  We have signed a tenancy agreement to call this our home for the next two years from the Cowdray Estate.  We have been learning bits and pieces regarding the Cowdray's, I thought it was a last name due to the fact that there is in fact a Lord and Lady Cowdray, turns out that Lord Cowdray's name is Michael Pearson, of get this... Pearson Publishing.  Pearson Publishing happens to be one of John Wiley and Sons main competitors in the book publishing world. Now get this, Patrick works for John Wiley and Sons.

Wiley and Sons established in the United States in 1807. Pearson Publishing established in 1919.
Weetman Pearson does have quite a story should you find yourself curious.

We truly do have the most beautiful settings to watch the sunrise.  Every day we are graced with a view similar to the one pictured above.  Its amazing we get the coffee made.

Copper has his own morning routine
seriously

The above photo was taken this morning as the sun was burning off that early morning fog

Plenty of blue sky afternoons for a game of football

of course it does rain here

and sometimes there is a late afternoon hot air ballon

Most of our afternoons have looked just like this

Gross.  Yesterday the ladybird aka ladybugs decided that our southerly facing walls were a great spot to catch some warm sun in preparation for winter. Gross.  I hoovered them all up and then sealed the doors and windows with blue painters tape to keep them outside. Gross
update: the tapping of the seams DID NOT HELP.  One, two of five ladybugs are just fine, but when there are hundreds it is just plain old disgusting.

And then there was this guy who came to the door. We had a stare down. I won. I will say, he has beautiful steely blue eyes though

These two like to scratch each others backs, sometimes I give them carrots.  Pretty much every day.
Copper will eat grass along side them, I'm not kidding

Sunsets are very spectacular as well...
We are so lucky to have found such a spot to land for the next two years

Copper will wait for your arrival at the drive, as he does everyday waiting for Patrick to return from work.

A wee little garden tour
